Emmylou Harris & Dan Fogelberg - Only the Heart May Know

今天又意外發現一首,
足以讓人在冰涼的夜裡融化的歌.

來源是之前提過的,
Dan Fogelberg在我出生那年發行的The Innocent Age.
專輯一共有兩張CD,
之前都是反覆聆聽收錄了"Leader of the Band"的CD 1,
對第二碟的印象非常薄弱,
於是今天找出來仔細播放了一回.

突然,
第三軌開頭的歌詞攫住了我的注意力,
更驚人的是後來加入的女聲,
那是一個令人非常難忘的迷人嗓音...

上網搜尋了一下,
與Dan Fogelberg合唱的人來頭不小,
是在鄉村樂壇有著「新傳統樂派教母」之稱的Emmylou Harris.




上面這張是教母在1990年發行的精選輯封面,
過了這麼多年後,
教母仍然繼續唱著歌,
而且那一頭秀髮怎麼有辦法白的這麼亮麗!!





我相信很多人都在最近聽過教母的聲音.



想起來了嗎?
2005年的電影Brokeback Mountain/斷背山裡,
Jack開車離開Ennis離婚後的獨居處,
邊用手抹掉眼淚邊聽著的歌:
"A Love That Will Never Grow Old"




再次發現,
自己對這種敘事般的旋律,
寫入星月山風的歌詞,
還有老派到不行的唱腔,
整個就是毫無招架之力啊!!!
